Kent, England - With a remarkable progress and very motivated after finishing 3rd and 6th last month in Germany, Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez is ready for rounds 13 and 14 of the Formula 3 Euroseries, to be held in the Brands Hatch race circuit.
The historic track hosted the Formula One Grand Prix of the United Kingdom from 1964 to 1986, as well as the Formula One Grand Prix of Europe in the eighties, the British Formula 3 Championship, the Champ Car World Series, among others.
Esteban, who races for the French team ART Grand Prix, is tenth in the championship standings with 16 points, and hopes the conditions are right this weekend for more good results and to earn more championship points.
This Friday’s qualifying session has been split in two groups to avoid traffic problems caused by the length of the 1.929 km track.
“The Brands Hatch track is very special for its first fast speed curve, but the downside is that we are going to be racing on the short configuration of the track, which makes it more difficult because of traffic conditions”, Gutierrez expressed.
“Overtaking is very difficult and therefore a good qualifying position is fundamental. These details make it more interesting and that is why I feel very motivated and looking forward for the weekend after a nice break”, he said.
“I am going to give my best to keep the pace from the latest events and to keep scoring points. We hope this will be a good event and an interesting race for the fans to watch”, concluded the 18 year old driver.
After this event in England, there are three more double events in the official calendar which will be held in Spain, France and Germany, in that order. There also will be an additional preparation race for Esteban in the British F3 International series, which will take place next week in Algarve, Portugal.
Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, and Bell for supporting him on this stage of his career.
