Esteban Qualifies Second in Nürburgring

August 14, 2009

Nürburg, Germany - Tomorrow, Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez will have an excellent opportunity to seek the podium after today´s qualifying session in which he qualified second for round 11 of the Formula 3 Euroseries 2009.

Esteban looked physically stronger and this combined with the hard work from French team ART Grand Prix to achieve this result at the 3.629 km German circuit known as the ‘Green Hell’.

The young driver, who represents the Latin community, did a total 19 laps with a fastest lap time of 1:23.114, which puts him on the front row for the start of tomorrow’s race, his best so far in the season.

In what has been an excellent start to the second half of the 2009 season, tomorrow Esteban will be motivated to seek the opportunity to reach the podium trying to make a good start from the front row and to keep his starting position to bring home some good championship points.

“I feel very happy  and thankful to the team because we had a few problems during practice and they were fixed. We’ve been working very hard to keep our consistency and thanks to God things were right for a good result,” said Esteban.

“This is the first qualifying of the second half of the season and it is going to be important to keep the same pace to continue improving the rest of the season. It is a very good opportunity to reach our first podium and hopefully it will be a competitive and fair race that I can also enjoy," finished the driver.

Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, and Bell for supporting him on this stage of his career.
