Oschersleben, Germany - After a bright demonstration of his talent in a British F3 International event last week, Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez is back on the tracks to continue his season in the Formula 3 Euroseries.
Esteban is in the city of Oschersleben for rounds 9 and 10 of the European series. A few days back, he saw action in Spa Francorchamps, Belgium, where he finished in the top ten of the British series, with sixth and tenth positions.
Esteban was also awarded a trophy for being the best of the drivers racing as invitees. This was one of the prizes awarded together with the National and International divisions.
The 17 year old driver is very motivated to keep his current pace, improving his race starting technique, his driving, and his physical condition.
Esteban, from the French team ART Grand Prix, had the opportunity to race on this track last year invited by the German Formula 3 series. He managed to qualify and finish the race in tenth place, racing for German team Josef Kaufmann Racing, who also supported him last year in the Formula BMW Europe. Although the cars are different from one series to the other, last year’s experience on this track will help Esteban in this year’s attempt.
“Oschersleben is a very technical track with fast corners one after the other, which makes this a circuit where overtaking is very difficult, and for that reason, the result of tomorrow´s qualifying session is very important. It is good that I raced on this track last year in the German F3, I think that experience can help me focus more in the car and less in getting to know the track".
“I am very motivated for our last events, where we have showed the speed we need to continue winning championship points. Our main objective is to add up points and move up in the championship standings. This is going to be a fun and interesting event because the track is very technical and demanding and represents a new challenge in my career. I hope it is fun for the fans too, in the venue, as well as on TV or in the news. Greeting to the people in Latin America", concluded Esteban.
Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, and Bell for supporting him on this new challenge called Formula 3 Euroseries.
