Nuremberg, Germany – After a week and a half off the tracks, the Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutiérrez Gutiérrez will resume activity this weekend at the Norisring circuit in Nuremberg, Germany, where he will compete in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Formula 3 Euroseries 2009.
The young 17 year old driver from the French team ART Grand Prix participated in his first F3 Masters race in Zandvoort, Holland where he had a positive experience gaining more experience and more knowledge.
After the race Esteban continued with his physical preparation as well as continuing his studies on line from Europe with the Tec Milenio Prepatory School.
The Norisring Circuit is 2.3 kilometers long. It is also known as the ‘German Monaco’ for its special street atmosphere and stone grandstands.
On this short track, which stands out for being very fast and where the time per lap is very quick, we remember the icon of Mexican motor racing, Pedro Rodríguez de La Vega who unfortunately died on July 11th, 1971 during an Interserie race.
This Friday, Esteban and the rest of the drivers will carry out the practice rounds and qualifying, whilst on Saturday, the first race takes place of 35 laps or 30 minutes. Proceedings will end on Sunday with the sixth race of the season of 48 laps or 40 minutes.
“Norisring is a legendary track with its history of different races. The truth is that it’s an honor to be racing these circuits which give out a lot of positive energy to the sport. I feel very motivated by all the learning experiences that I have gained over the last few months. Even though we have gone through some difficult moments, they are experiences which form a part of the sport and that’s why I am living very intensely; so that I can get the best out of these experiences. I hope to be able to enjoy the event in the best way and be able to progress in every aspect,” commented Esteban Gutierrez.
Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, & Bell for all their support given in this new challenge of Formula 3 Euroseries.
