New Delhi, India - For the first time ever Formula 1 will race in India and this will happen at the Buddh circuit of New Delhi, where Sauber´s reserve driver "Esteban Gutierrez" will be attending the event to support his team and continue with his training.

Speaking about the new circuit, Esteban said that it will be difficult for the drivers because nobody has ever driven here before.

“It feels different and it is very interesting as this is the first time here and it is a new track that we haven´t seen before and they will have to go around many times to clean the surface.
 
“Since this is the first time for everyone, the first laps will be very difficult but once the track is clean I think it will be very interesting because of the circuit characteristics.”
 
Sauber’s reserve driver talked about how the drivers have reacted to this new track and thinks the expectations for the weekend are positive.
 
“The response has been good, they are happy and unfortunately I will not have a chance to race this time but in the future we’ll be able to come back.
 
“The truth is that there are mixed opinions, but the general reaction has been positive because the effort that was put here is evident and the track is in very good condition”, said Esteban.
 
Even though he would have liked to participate in the practice, Gutierrez knows that this experience will help him when the time comes to be here as a regular F1 driver.
 
“I am here to learn; the meetings have been very productive in every aspect. At the beginning it will be a little complicated because it is the first time that there will be cars on the track, and the qualifying will have to be taken one step at a time.
 
“To be honest, for me this is a great experience and the opportunity to attend these events gives me a perspective of things to come. All the traveling, the different cultures, the food and such things that we sometimes don´t see are there and are an important part of this", he remarked.
