Esteban starts activities towards the 2012 Season

Mexican driver Esteban Gutierrez has started working towards the 2012 GP2 Series season with the official training sessions at the circuit of Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
Gutierrez, who recently signed again with team Lotus ART looking to bring continuity to the work they’ve done on his debut year in the F1 feeder series, will seek to make the most out of this test by trying different components of the car.

“What’s important at this moment is that we carry on with certain continuity to what we did this year and that will be our starting point for 2012, and will also serve as a preparation for the event in Abu Dhabi.
“We are going to try different things in the car to see the progress and then we will seek to improve and wait to see what comes next", expressed Esteban.
It will be two days in which Gutierrez will participate in the official training and will use them as a reference to see how adapted he is now to the GP2 Series car.
“In this training I will be feeling a little better, I will be more aware of where I am (in terms of adaptation to the car) and to be honest I’ve been working on this a lot and I’ve also started thinking that for us this is the real beginning of the season.
“We must make the best use of the track time to test different racing settings, different things for race starts, and we have faith we can do a good job”, remarked the driver.
Esteban Gutierrez added that he is very motivated and confident that he will do a good job with team Lotus ART aiming to improve their performance in 2012 GP2 Series season.
