Northamptonshire, England - After two days of practice during the official GP2 training season, Mexican driver Esteban Gutierrez and his team LOTUS ART have achieved good conclusions.

On the morning session, Esteban had a few problems with the car, although this didn’t affect the number of laps he did around the Silverstone circuit, in England, where he finished 15th with a lap time of 1m41.504s

“In the morning we had a few problems with the car, which basically affected only our speed, with no further issues”, mentioned the Mexican driver.
 
In the afternoon, the team was able to complete their program in great way by doing 30 laps and finishing sixth fastest with a best lap time of 1m40.645s

“When you have more laps and time on the car you can try more things and that is the positive side of training; this time we were able to try things and improve on those things we wanted to try.

“We have a good benchmark and know that we are moving in the right direction, and that keeps us very motivated to face the next phase”, he added.
 
The Mexican driver said these were two days in which he was able to learn more and adapt better to the car that is used in the F1 feeder series, and because of all that he feels satisfied.

“The truth is that, in the end it was very positive and productive because testing under rain on the first day was encouraging in terms of preparation, and today (yesterday) we managed to get the most out of our work program and didn´t have any problems or inconveniences.

“The team completed the test very happy because we finally managed to run our entire program. The afternoon of the first day didn´t go too well but then on the second day we accomplished the program and now we know we are in a good position regarding our benchmark and that is keeping us very motivated”, he remarked.
