Esteban concludes a successful 2010 season

Jerez de la Frontera, Spain – Esteban Gutierrez closed the year taking part of the GP3 test that was organized by tyre maker Pirelli, who will provide tyres for the different formula championships next year.

Mexican driver was invited to this test at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, where he had the opportunity to test several tyres with 90 laps around the track.

“With this last GP3 training, testing for Pirelli, we concluded 2010 season.

“I feel very happy, and especially grateful to all my fans, sponsors, my family, my girlfriend, my friends and my work team, because they all are a part of what we achieved this year”, commented Esteban.

For Gutierrez, 2010 was a year of great achievements, which include the championship of the GP3 series, being appointed as reserve driver with Formula One team Sauber Motorsport for 2011, and being introduced to the GP2 series where he will take part next year.

“Thanks to God we were able to take advantage of every key moment during the season, together with team ART GP, we managed to build the GP3 championship with patience and consistency.

“I could say that this year was a successful transition year, as we now have to focus in the next season, to move on, with a cold head and not getting stuck thinking about what we have achieved so far but use the experience to continue working with the same mindset and as hard as ever”, he mentioned.

Although work for Esteban will resume until February with training sessions for the GP2 Asia series, he will remain focused on his preparation for next season, working on both aspects, physically and mentally.
