Esteban Gutierrez

Hockenheim, Germany – Esteban Gutierrez, with French team ART Grand Prix, did an excellent race today after having started from place 11 on the 4.574km length track of the Hockenheimring and climbed up several positions at the beginning of Round 3 of the F3 Euroseries.

It was a sunny day with a temperature of 20°C and 24.7°C on the track, and Gutierrez managed to climb back five places at the start of the race and stay sixth for the reminder of the race, crossing the finish line in that position and gaining valuable points for his team.

The Mexican driver will start tomorrow’s race – which will last 40 minutes or 25 laps, whichever comes first - from P3, and hopes to have an excellent start to fight for a podium finish in the European series.

“Today we were able to recover after having a difficult day yesterday. We were very competitive in the race and fought up there with the leaders, which shows our speed”, said Esteban.

“We have an opportunity for a good result tomorrow. The race is slightly longer than today’s race, and that means it is very important not to risk too much in the first part of the race to take care of the tires and be competitive until the end. Thank God, things went better today and we hope tomorrow will be even better”, he added.

As it is usual in the European series, the 17 drivers that are participating this weekend, shared some quality time with the fans and signed autographs on photographs, tires, t-shirts, caps, and many other things, which the fans took home with a nice memory of this event.
