Esteban Gutierrez

Hockenheim, Germany – After three successful GP3 official tests, which started in early March at Paul Ricard and ended last week on the Spanish track of Catalunya, Mexican driver Esteban Gutierrez and team ART Grand Prix – his team last year in the F3 Euroseries and with whom he is about to begin the new season of the GP3 series – arrived in Hockenheim for rounds 3 and 4 of the Formula 3 Euroseries.

Esteban and his team decided to enter this F3 event with an eye on continuing their preparation for the 2010 season of the competitive GP3 series, as they will have a round on this same circuit next July.

Besides this event, Gutierrez will also participate next week in the British F3 International Series, at Silverstone, as a closure to his training plans previous to the start of the GP3 season.

“Thank God we have the opportunity to do these races as an additional training, which will help us very much on getting a better understanding of the differences between one car and another, and be able to use that experience in the future”, Esteban explained.

“I feel very happy for getting back to racing after all these months. Our objective this weekend is to go home with a good result and more experience that will help me in my career. This season is going to be very interesting because I will have the opportunity to participate in several different series in one single year”, the Mexican remarked.
