Barcelona, Spain - Two weeks ago in Paul Ricard, Esteban Gutierrez and French team ART Grand Prix had a great performance, and now they are in Barcelona for the third and last official test prior to the first race of the GP3 Series, which will take place on May 7-9th at the prestigious track of Catalunya, where they will share the weekend with the Formula 1 and the GP2 Series.

Starting tomorrow, Esteban, his teammates, and all the other drivers of the series will start carrying  their car numbers for the season, which were assigned through a 30 minute qualifying shootout that took place in Le Castellet two weeks ago. Esteban will carry number 2 for having set the second best lap time during the session, while his teammates – Alexander Rossi and Pedro Nunes—will carry 1 and 3 respectively.

30 drivers will take part of the last training sessions, 26 of which have already been confirmed by their teams to participate in the 2010 season. The other four drivers are to be confirmed soon.

The first session at the Catalunya track will take place tomorrow from 9:00 am local time through 12:00 pm, with the afternoon session scheduled to be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

“This is going to be the last training before the season begins, and it is taking place at a different track, which will give us an idea of how the car behaves under different conditions. This is going to be key in our preparation for the first race which will be in this same track. I feel very happy with our performance and the progress we have shown", remarked Esteban Gutierrez.

"We are going to continue working hard to keep the trend because the other teams and drivers will continue improving at the same time we do, and we cannot take things for granted", added the driver.
