Esteban Lines Up for the Final Events of the F3 Euroseries

October 8, 2009

Dijon, France – Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez is getting ready for the final straight of the Formula 3 Euroseries 2009, which will hold rounds 17 and 18 this weekend at the track of Dijon Prenois, in south France.

The young driver, of 18 yrs old, who drives for ART Grand Prix, has arrived to the legendary circuit that first opened its doors in 1972 and hosted the F1 Grand Prix of France in the early 70´s and 80´s, as well as the Grand Prix of Switzerland.

Esteban has an extra load of motivation for the upcoming challenges as he has progressed very much in recent events, one example being last Tuesday when he tested a GP2 car to register the sixth best time of the session and showing at the same time a big progress in  his physical condition.

The Latin driver currently stands ninth in the drivers’ championship with 20 points, but he is willing to put his best effort to climb up in the ranking and close the season in the best possible way.

“I feel very motivated for the last two events of the season because we have improved all the time despite of the problems we have faced", said Esteban.

“I have to say that, adapting to the circumstances has taken time, but after all the experiences we have lived this year I feel we can close the season in a strong manner. The circuit of Dijon is legendary and that itself makes it more interesting because old tracks always have something special in them".

“In this case, the track is fast and narrow and therefore overtaking is difficult. We believe things are going to turn out well for us and I intend to enjoy the race and do whatever it takes to put the name of Mexico even higher", remarked the young driver.

After this weekend in Dijon, only one double race weekend will remain in the F3 Euroseries calendar, which will take place in Hockenheim, Germany, on October 23-25, to close the season with rounds 19 and 20.

Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, and Bell for supporting him on this stage of his career.
