Portimao, Portugal - Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez will start tomorrow’s British F3 International races from places ninth and eleventh.
This event, that Esteban and French team ART Grand Prix are participating in as a preparation for their own championship, is being held at 4.629 km long track of the Autodromo International Do Algarve.
The young 18 year old driver said he is satisfied with what he has learned so far, especially to face the six remaining races of the Formula 3 Euroseries calendar.
“We qualified ninth and eleventh in today’s qualifying sessions. It was interesting, the way we approached qualifying, as we did not use all the time we had available because we only have two sets of tires for the two qualifying sessions and the two races, so we had to save them for tomorrow and we only had six laps to do our best lap time”, said Esteban.
“I think this is a very good training to get up to pace in the sessions and I feel very satisfied with the learning even though our results were not excellent”.
“I expect to acquire even more experience from these two races and the good thing is that there are good places for overtaking in this track, even though it will be difficult because including me there will be seven drivers from the F3 Euroseries in the race. I hope the races are a lot of fun and I know God will help things go well for us”, remarked Gutierrez.

Esteban thanks his sponsors Multigama, DeAcero, Telmex, Alpinestars, and Bell for supporting him on this stage of his career.
