Esteban Gutierrez

Portimao, Portugal - After finishing fifth in the 14th round of the Formula 3 Euroseries last Sunday in Brands Hatch, Mexican driver Esteban Manuel Gutierrez Gutierrez will see action again this weekend in the British Formula 3 International series.

The venue for these preparation races will be the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, with its 4.692 Km race track, where Esteban and French team ART Grand Prix will seek more experience and training in preparation for the last three double race events that remain in the calendar of their own category.

Esteban has shown consistency and knowledge by earning points in the last four races of the Formula 3 Euroseries, and is ninth in the driver’s championship standings with 20 points.

After this weekend’s event in Portugal, Esteban will be ready for the last three double race events of the F3 Euroseries season, which will be held in Spain, France and Germany, in that order.

"We had the opportunity to go around the new circuit of Algarve and I am really impressed. It seems to be very technical and interesting, with new facilities and very nice", said Gutierrez.

"I think this is going to be a good event for us, it is a long track and it takes time to learn it but there is a three hour practice before qualifying so I think we’ll be good".

"I am looking forward to the first practice, you see the track and you want to jump in the car and drive. I hope I can make the most out of this weekend in terms of learning and to enjoy it as much as I can, which is the most important of all", remarked Esteban.
