Activities on Monaco have begun and we couldn’t stay behind with our latest post from our brand new Esteban Racing blog.

While we were writing this article, the qualification was already over and for now we can only wait for the race of tomorrow, but before that Esteban Gutierrez left us with these comments:

“We have to keep up with focusing on tomorrow, we shouldn’t be worried,for now we can’t be sad because to put it simply, the event hasn’t even ended, we have to keep up with determination for tomorrow’s race and try to take the best of it”.

“The race should be defined with strategy and it’s definitely a point where some risk should be taken”.

This is just the beginning and we really hope that Esteban recovers tomorrow, but for now we want you to be totally prepared for the Grand Prix de Monaco by leaving you these interesting facts about this historic circuit:

• The first Formula 1 Grand Prix took place in 1950.
• It’s the most slow and hard lap of the whole Formula 1 World Championship
• Ayrton Senna is the driver with the most wins in this circuit (6).
• Since 1950, Monaco has hosted 54 Grands Prix but it is only since 2004 that there have been garages for the cars along the pit lane. Prior to that, teams had to push the cars back and forth between makeshift garages in the paddock or an underground garage for each practice and qualifying session and the race.
• Monaco is the second most small independent state in the world after the vatican.
• Drivers must change gear 54 times per lap at Monaco, meaning more than 4,200 changes over the course of the race. Just 42 percent of the lap is spent at full throttle, with the longest period of full-throttle running a mere eight seconds

Las actividades en Monaco han dado inicio y nosotros no podíamos quedarnos atrás con el artículo del nuevo blog de Esteban Racing.

Mientras escribíamos este artículo ya había terminado la calificación y sólo nos queda esperar a la gran carrera de mañana pero por ahora Esteban Gutiérrez nos dejó los siguientes comentarios:

“Tenemos que seguir con el enfoque para mañana, no debemos estar preocupados, ahorita no debemos de ponernos tristes porque simplemente el evento no ha terminado, tenemos que seguir con determinación para la carrera de mañana y tratar de sacar el mayor provecho”

“La carrera va a definirse con la estrategia y es un punto donde podemos tomar algunos riesgos”

Esto apenas comienza y esperamos que Esteban pueda recuperarse el día de mañana, y ahora para que esten bien preparados para la gran carrera del Grand Prix de Monaco, les dejamos los siguientes datos de este histórico circuito:

• El primer Grand Prix de Formula 1 se realizó en 1950
• Es la pista más lenta y más dificil del Campeonato Mundial de Formula 1.
• Ayrton Senna es el piloto con mayores triunfos ganados en la historia del circuito (6).
• El record de la mejor vuelta lo tiene Michael Schumacher (2004)
• Desde 1950 Monaco ha sido la antesala de 54 Grand Prixs pero es en el 2004 donde los garages para los equipos fuerón instalados a lo largo de los pits. Anterior a eso, los coches tenían que ser empujados de la pista a talleres subterraneos para cada prática, calificación y carrera.
• Monaco es el segundo estado independiente más pequeño del mundo, después del Vaticano.
• Los pilotos deben hacer 54 cambios en la marcha por vuelta, lo cual significa que hay 4,200 cambios durante la duración de la carrera. Sólo 42% de la vuelta se mantiene a velocidad completa, con el periodo más largo siendo de apenas ocho segundos en recta.
