31.10.2014.- The USGP started today with the two practice sessions where Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez had a few difficulties.

During the morning practices at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, Gutiérrez was 16th with a best lap time of 1:42.516.

“It as a very difficult day but it was also positive as we were able to fulfill our program, although I had several problems that we are trying to solve", said the Mexican.

In the afternoon, in Free Practice 2, Esteban did 34 laps around the track and his best lap time was 1:41.420 which put him on P17.

“The balance of the car in general terms is reasonable and we are testing different setups looking for the right one; today's conditions were not easy", he said.

Sauber driver talked about tire behavior and what they are going to use during the weekend.

“We have to have alll this in mind for tomorrow; in general terms the tires worked well, the soft compoud degrades more than the hard one but it seems like both will be a good option for this track”, he remarked.

The United States Grand Prix will continue with Practice 3 at 10:00 (09:00 México Central Time) and the Qualifying session at 13:00 (12:00 México Central TIme).
