24-11-2013.- Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez finished his first Formula One season by crossing the finish line of the Brazilian Grand Prix in 12thplace.
Gutiérrez started the race from P17 and managed to gain a few places at the start until he reached 12th place at Interlagos.

“We managed to move up a few positions at the start. After that, changing the tires affected us, it was difficult to keep the mediums in good shape, but I think the race had a very positive turnout.
“We lacked the speed to gain more places at the end, my tires were gone, but we tried and did the best we could”, said the Mexican.
Regarding his first year in the top motorsport series, Esteban weighed his results and thanked Sauber team for the opportunity he was given.
“It really has been a great experience, a great learning opportunity and I want to thank the team for all the support I have had through every challenge, through good times and bad times and also for being patient and for giving me the tools to develop myself as a driver.
“I think the feeling is very positive and we will be getting ready for the next season”, he remarked.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel won the race, followed by teammate Mark Webber in his farewell race from the Formula One circuits and Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso, who completed the podium.
